Jose Alberto Figueras – Backstage Technical Director

As a Technical Director for Morag Productions, Inc., Jose overseas all backstage requirements from the early stages of building scenery and props to the maintenance and running of mechanical and electrical equipment behind the scenes. Jose’s involvement in the Production Team enables him to use his other talent and true passion - Camera and Broadcast, when he is called upon for the video recording of the production shows.

Jose’s career in theater began in 1996 when he joined the technical team for Costa Cruise Lines as a Backstage Assistant. It wasn’t long before he had worked his way up to Stage Manager position. Always looking to add more strings to his bow, Jose trained and studied other technical areas including sound, lights and broadcast. Through determination and motivation, he continued his career in the cruise industry working for Celebrity Cruises, Seabourn Cruise Line and Cunard Line performing various technical positions including Stage Manager, Audio Visual Manager and Broadcast Manager.

After marrying his wife, Claire, in 2001, they settled and now reside in South Florida.
